"L'Opinion" and "L'Agefi" fall under the control of Bernard Arnault

Should we consider that Bernard Arnault has just added two daily newspapers to his media portfolio? Or has the boss of the luxury group LVMH expanded his press division devoted to economics and finance ( Les Echos, Mieux vivre votre argent , etc.) by one title, and that of the general press ( Le Parisien, Paris Match , Radio Classique) by another? The septuagenarian has in any case just acquired the liberal title L'Opinion and the specialist media L'Agefi , united within Nicolas Beytout's company Bey Medias.
The transfer of ownership between the buyer and seller took place on Wednesday, July 2, Mr. Beytout, now the former major shareholder (alongside Thétys, media magnate Rupert Murdoch, and American investor Kenneth Fisher), announced to the editorial staff Thursday morning. The amount of the transaction, which has been under negotiation for several months, was not disclosed.
"For some time now, along with the other shareholders, I have been looking to partner with a shareholder with a powerful media business, which is very demanding in terms of cash and investments, and which is experiencing very rapid obsolescence," explained the founder of L'Opinion twelve years ago – he acquired L'Agefi from François Pinault in 2019.
